Cleft Care Foundation (CCF) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Pakistan Association of Orthodontists (PAO) to establish a formal framework for academic and professional collaboration in cleft care and orthodontics.
The MoU aims to promote education, training, research, and knowledge sharing through joint academic activities. Under this agreement, both organizations will collaborate on the organization of symposia, conferences, workshops, and training programs related to cleft care and orthodontics, supporting continuing professional education and capacity building.
The partnership also encourages research collaboration where mutually beneficial and supports the exchange of expertise and resources to strengthen professional development in the field. PAO will facilitate CCF’s engagement with a wider professional audience through its network of orthodontic specialists.
CCF will contribute by proposing academic programs, providing subject matter experts and resource persons, and supporting awareness and advocacy initiatives related to cleft care. This MoU reflects CCF’s commitment to transparent institutional partnerships and sustainable professional development in Pakistan.
Cleft Care Foundation (CCF) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bashir Institute of Health Sciences (BIHS), Islamabad, to strengthen collaboration in patient referral, community awareness, and student-led outreach initiatives related to cleft lip and palate care.
The MoU establishes a patient referral system under which BIHS will identify and refer patients with cleft lip and/or palate to CCF for specialized, multidisciplinary treatment not available within its facilities. CCF will provide subsidized or free treatment to referred patients in accordance with its policies.
The partnership also focuses on community awareness and outreach, including the organization of cleft awareness and screening camps in Barakahu and surrounding areas. BIHS will support these initiatives by providing medical personnel, educational resources, and logistical assistance, while CCF will offer cleft-specific training and technical guidance.
In addition, BIHS will facilitate the formation of a Cleft Care Volunteer Group, engaging dental students and volunteers in awareness sessions, patient identification, and outreach programs. CCF will provide training, orientation, and certificates of appreciation to participating volunteers.
Cleft Care Foundation (CCF) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with South East Hospital & Research Center, Police Foundation, Islamabad, to support the provision of hospital-based surgical care for patients registered with CCF.
Under this agreement, South East Hospital & Research Center will provide indoor and inpatient facilities for CCF patients, including operation theatre services, anesthesia, nursing care, hospital stay, and pharmacy support. These services will be provided on a cost-only basis, as outlined in the agreed annexures.
The MoU grants CCF’s authorized surgical team operating rights at South East Hospital & Research Center, ensuring continuity and quality of care for cleft patients. All hospital-related costs incurred for CCF patients will be billed to CCF through auditable, tax-endorsed receipts and cleared on a monthly basis.
The agreement is valid for an initial period of three years and may be terminated by either party with a three-month prior notice. Both organizations have committed to mutual administrative cooperation as required to support patient care and service delivery.
